Welcome to Churchfields Primary School

My name is Diane Beardsmore and I am lucky enough to have one of the best jobs in the world; being the head teacher of Churchfields Primary School. Although we are a 2 form entry school with over 360 children we embrace being a family and working together to ‘be the best that we can be’.

At Churchfields Primary school, our motto is: 'to be the best you can be'

This underpins every aspect of school life with the school constantly striving to make this happen from the first moment your child walks through the door.  We provide interesting and engaging lessons with the focus on children knowing more, remembering more and applying more.  This is embedded with the focus on explicit teaching of distinct subjects with an emphasis on crucial knowledge.  By doing this, the aim is for the children to always be ready for the next steps in their learning and the curriculum.

We have an incredibly hard working staff team at Churchfields, who always go the extra mile for the children. I am delighted to be part of that team. We are part of CVT, a multi-academy trust which includes our local high school, Chesterton Community Sports College.  This relationship brings many benefits to the children.
